Obama Will Postpone Repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’

Barack Obama will postpone a promised repeal of the Clinton era ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy, which fell short of allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly in the U.S. armed forces. According to the Washington Times, two people advising the Obama transition team on the issue, say the President-elect will not move for months, and perhaps not until 2010, to ask Congress to end the military's decades-old ban on open homosexuals in the ranks.

Sources tell SheWired.com that word came down Friday afternoon that OurChart.com will be shutting off all content effective immediately. The social networking site launched in 2006 and was born out of creator Ilene Chaiken's hugely successful Showtime series The L Word.

Hillary Clinton To Serve as Obama’s Secretary of State

The New York Times is reporting that Sen. Hillary Clinton will vacate her New York Senate seat to act as the international emissary of the man who narrowly defeated her to become the Democratic presidential nominee in one of the longest and most historic primary seasons in political history. Though no formal announcement is expected until after the Thanksgiving Holiday, Clinton has reportedly accepted Barack Obama’s offer to serve as Secretary of State in his administration.
